In recognition of their commitment to advocacy and human rights, the founders of North-South Development Roots and Culture Canada were invited to speak at the United Nations Permanent Forum for People of African Descent in New York City and Geneva, Switzerland.
At the Forum, they raised their voices to highlight the struggles faced by people of African descent and to advocate for equity, justice, and recognition within the global community. Representing the Canadian Black civil society, they emphasized the importance of addressing systemic barriers, amplifying lived experiences, and creating sustainable pathways for empowerment.
