IT’S A TRAP is a preventative program designed to educate youth about the criminal life cycle and the risks tied to drugs, gang involvement, and the sex trade. Our mission is to provide young people with factual information and real-life perspectives that highlight the true consequences of these lifestyles.
The program features guest speakers with firsthand experience, who share their personal stories, challenges, and motivations for change. These voices give youth an authentic look at the dangers of risky choices while also offering hope for a different path forward.
We also collaborate closely with schools and community organizations, responding to requests when at-risk youth are identified. Within these settings, our team delivers trauma-informed coaching sessions, offering mentorship and guidance in a safe and supportive environment.
By combining education, lived experience, and community partnerships, IT’S A TRAP helps empower young people to make informed decisions, avoid destructive paths, and build brighter futures.
The Railroad 2 Success program celebrates the journeys of our team members while showing our commitment to guiding and uplifting youth.
Every Thursday, it brings the community together through basketball games that create connection and belonging. Afterward, participants hear from professional speakers who share stories, lessons, and encouragement designed to inspire resilience, ambition, and purpose.
The program blends recreation, mentorship, and motivation to help young people build confidence, strengthen relationships, and stay focused on their personal and community goals.
